Title: Danny’s Dragon
Author: Sedonia Guillone
Genre: Gay romance, contemporary
Publisher: Wayward Ink Publishing
SynopsisA rugged, muscular cop.
A sexy computer genius.
Brought together by a crime committed on a cold dark night.
From the moment they meet, their lives can never be the same again…
Wild and rugged Dave Pearce is haunted by the demons of his past. He’s done his best to make a life for himself after the devastation of his lover’s suicide years earlier, but the trauma has left its mark on his soul.
Danny Wong is what Dave considers a “nerdy Bruce Lee.” Handsome, refined, out of his league.
But that doesn’t matter.
Dave believes himself to be dangerous for any man who would love him. So he stays back in the shadows, letting the desire he harbors for the hot grad student remain unrequited.
Danny has demons of his own. Duty-bound to his family’s goals for him, he remains shy and closeted, contenting himself with his secret fantasies about the sexy Irish cop who patrols the campus building where Danny does his graduate work.
Until one freezing winter night…
Leaving the building, fate steps in and their paths cross in a new…deeper way. Neither man can turn back. Danny and Dave must face the demons rearing their heads with full force, or lose their chance at an epic love…

I feel like I need Loa Tzu for dummies. I hope it isn't just me that has a hard time understanding his poems, LOL!!
This is a good romantic story, with a calming, zen-like undertone. Dave is protective of Danny, even if its from himself, and you have to respect that. Danny's character is totally endearing. His friendship with his best friend, Meg, and the loss of her grandfather was such a sad point for them, as he was like Danny's own blood. His own parents didn't seem to either take interest or didn't make him feel like he was enough. His mom was such a hag, but his father ended up turning out super awesome. Especially after Danny FINALLY came out to them.
There were a few twists in Dave's portion of the story, and at times i felt like shaking him. Though, he was only trying to protect Danny from his past.
If you can get passed the inst-love, and more "ancient" terms, then you will like this book. I am wondering if the next installment will be about Meg, who I find a bit if an anomaly.
I give this book 3 stars
