A man without memories, and the cop who never gave up hope.
When he wakes up in the hospital, the victim of a brutal beating, John Doe has no memories of who he is or who hurt him. The cops can find nothing to identify him and he can't remember anything to help... except the name Ethan and one recurring place from his dreams. Two words, and they're not much, but it's a start: Crooked Tree.
Detective Ethan Allens has never stopped searching for the two boys who vanished. When a report lands on Ethan's desk that may give new leads, he jumps at the chance to follow them up. The man he finds isn't his brother, but it's someone who could maybe help him discover what happened twelve years ago.
What neither man can know is that facing the very real demons of the past could destroy any kind of future they may have together.

RJ Scott has been writing since age six when she was made to stay in at lunchtime for an infraction involving cookies and was told to write a story. Two sides of A4 about a trapped princess later, a lover of writing was born. She reads anything from thrillers to sci-fi to horror; however, her first real love will always be the world of romance. From billionaires, bodyguards and cowboys to SEALs, throwaways and veterinarians, she writes passionate stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and more than a hint of happily ever after.
We at M2M are pleased to have RJ with us today!! We got to ask her some more intimate questions and we hope you enjoy them!
What's your favorite restaurant?
I like any restaurant where there is wine! And good food. I love restaurants where you are made to feel special and where the company is fun. I love Italian food, and Thai food, so my first choice would be for either of those!
If one song could be the soundtrack to your life, what would it be?
Wow, that is a hard on. Probably Muse and 'Butterflies and Hurricanes', in which the words tell us we have to be the best, and this is our time. I like to think that motivation is behind me when I write. I absolutely adore that song, so passionate.
Best coffee table book?
We love Norway, and we visited a close friend of ours in Norway and she gave us a coffee table book full of stunning photos of a gorgeous country. We fell in love with Norway, big time.
What's your favorite way to spend lazy Sundays?
Reading, or out and about with the family. Just having some down time and some peace.
Where do you look for an obscure source of inspiration?
I'm not sure I look for obscure stuff, it just happens. I wrote a novella called Alpha, Delta, for the All Romance Alpha's call. I decided to look at it differently, make my strong man a Delta. So I went researching Delta, and found a team of Norwegian anti-terrorism guys, codenamed Delta. And so what started as a straightforward research task became a whole new story.
How far do you go to research for your books?
I research on the internet, talking to people, reading, watching films, looking at reference texts. I love researching and have a whole library of ideas that I would love to put into books.
Do you have a favorite character? was it based of someone you actually know?
My favorite character is Riley from my seven book Texas series. He begins book 1 by being a complete bastard, blackmailing Jack into marriage, but he was such an interesting character to write. He's not based on a particular person, just a whole head of thoughts about what a hero should be, and how a man can b redeemed.
Anything new and exciting you have going on that we may expect in the future??I have a whole load of books coming out this year, the third Montana book, a new Legacy series, which is an offshoot from my Texas series, a stand alone for Christmas, my 6th Bodyguard book... I'm writing book 2 in my MF series, Stanford Creek, and I'm also booked way into 2017 with ideas. Who needs sleep anyway!
Thank you for having me.
